Institucionalidad y carácter de la protección de áreas en Costa Rica

Abstract

Se da cuenta de los hitos en la historia nacional de protección de áreas silvestres y se periodiza ésta. Se revela la organización estatal costarricense para la protección de áreas, haciendo especial mención de las dimensiones legal y financiera. Finalmente se hace un recuento de las áreas silvestres protegidas del país, estatales y privadas, relevando sus características principales.

The highest development of the protection of wild areas in the national history is accounted and this is periodized. The Costarrican state organization for the protection of areas is revealed, especially referring to the legal and financial dimensions. Finally, the state and private protected wild areas in the country are enumerated, revealing their principal characteristics.
